About LA Vascular
Vascular medicine, made accessible — for patients facing procedures and for the clinicians performing them.
LA Vascular is a dual-purpose vascular medicine platform — patient-facing procedure education and physician-facing reference resources. Patients facing vascular interventions get plain-language explanations of what the procedure involves, what devices are used, and what to expect. IR and vascular surgery fellows get a comprehensive device library and free radiology board-review materials.
Why LA Vascular was built
Patients facing vascular procedures have almost no way to understand what's actually going to happen — what devices will be used, what the procedure involves at a technical level, what the costs look like in real terms. This information asymmetry drives anxiety, delays consent, and produces lower-quality shared decision-making.
At the same time, IR and vascular surgery fellows learning the device landscape often have no single reference for the equipment they're being trained to use. Manufacturer datasheets are scattered, board review materials are expensive, and there's no neutral, physician-built resource that brings these together.
LA Vascular bridges both gaps with one platform.
Founder
Pouyan Golshani, MD
Pouyan Golshani is a board-certified interventional radiologist with 16+ years of clinical practice in vascular interventions. He founded LA Vascular to make vascular procedures less opaque for patients and the device landscape less fragmented for trainees — drawing on his daily clinical work performing the procedures the platform explains.
